Australian Shepherds are highly energetic dogs and love to engage in the freedom that wide open places provide. While apartment dwellers can own this breed, it is imperative that Aussie owners make sure their dogs receive two to three hours of playful exercise daily. Otherwise, the dog can become easily bored and lonely and possibly develop problems that cause a disturbance, or damage. The use of dog parks, outdoor runs with your dog, and doggie treadmills can help enormously with the Aussie’s required daily exercise.

Pricing

Each dog is priced at $1200.00 . The price applies to either male or female. I do not charge for breeding rights as the dog will come to you intact.

The price includes first shots, leash, collar, crate, crate bed, kong toy, and a small blanket that was used in the whelping crate.

Crate training a dog is invaluable! I used to think it was unkind until I got a dog that was crate trained. The freedom to leave the house without the fear of harm to the puppy or your belongings is priceless. During the first year I had Annie and Cooper, they were crated at night and whenever I left the house. This is no longer necessary as they are past the chewing and accident part of doghood. However, they still eat in their crates and use them as a comfortable space to go when they want to rest.

I have started the process of crate training, and the puppies eat in their crates and nap in 2 hour increments. They are not ready to sleep all night in a crate yet, but will be in the next 4 weeks. I encourage you to continue with the crate as both you and the dog will be happier.

This also leads to a dog being easier to house break as I take them out as soon as I take them from their crates.
